Welcome

I'm glad you're here and I hope that you'll consider making coaching a part of your life.  It's an investment in yourself that will generate a positive return. The specifics of the return look different for everyone, but at a foundational level I believe working with me will allow you to know who you really are, determine what you really want, and develop accountability for the actions you desire to take.

Who am I?

I'm David Green.  I've been married to Lindsay for 12 years and we have 3 young boys, Russell (10), Coleman (8), and Marshall (6).  Since graduating from Auburn in 2004 I've lived in several cities around the Southeast working in financial consulting and real estate. Most of my time was spent in Atlanta.  The major life events for me there were marrying Lindsay, starting a family, co-founding a company that serves banks across the U.S., selling the business almost 10 years after starting it, and going back to school to get a Masters in Psychological and Christian Studies.

We moved to Auburn in 2018 and I spend my time now with my family, teaching business classes at Auburn University, investing in real estate, business consulting, and coaching, counseling, and mentoring men.

Why do I believe in coaching ?

The short answer - I've personally experienced transformative life change from a coaching relationship.  I want to offer the same gift that was given to me.

Maybe your asking, "How did your life change?"  At a high level it moved me much closer to real freedom - freedom from the need to perform, earn love, and people please and freedom to speak honestly, engage relationally and intentionally, connect with God authentically, and live life on purpose and with margin.

Who do I work with?

Put Simply - men that are not content with living a mediocre life and men that want to live in the fullness of who they are created to be.  They want to see dreams realized.

Most of my experience is working with men that are navigating issues like these - searching for meaning and significance, making peace with their parents, deciding which fork in the road is the right one to take, choosing the "right" job or the "right" city, reconciling and making peace with God, wrestling internally with unwanted thoughts and feelings, and understanding why behaviors that are not aligned with their value system persist.

Life is complicated, it's better when you talk about it.

How does the process work?

Coaching starts with understanding who you really are, discerning what you deeply desire, and taking action.

I believe we are all designed in such a way that when we share our thoughts, feelings, desires and plans with another person who listens well, understands, and cares we will gain clarity and traction in our lives.

It may sound over simplistic but I believe in it because it has worked in my life and I've seen it work in others too.

I want to try coaching but I'm worried about the cost.

Coaching is an investment that you are making in yourself that will generate a positive return.  I believe in this so much that if after working with me for 6 months you are not satisfied with the change you are experiencing I will refund 100% of your investment.

What does a typical coaching session look like?

A good coaching session is one where you design the agenda.  We work through the important issues that are stopping you from achieving your goals.  I listen a lot and I ask thought provoking questions that will help clarify your deep desires and how to move forward in life so they become reality.
